Too much of our lives are spent in trying to acquire, make money, afford housing and food and the middle-life needs. Too much time is spent trying to please others (spouses, parents, children, bosses).
With the knowledge that our lives are winding down - sometimes very quickly and sometimes not very nicely, it is good to accept the little gifts and pleasures. No need to go for the big splashy shit anymore!
