And you are right, I want to hear from my "age group".

For my part, I voted today in Georgia. Hoping to be the one that puts Ms. Clinton in the winner's circle here. Funny story, we had to cross the street to vote in the city elections. We (my sister and I) walked up, there was a volunteer who was waiting on the sidewalk, walked us in, opening doors, pointing the way. The town has a total of 800 residents and we were the only voters there. After we voted and were leaving, every one of the election worker bees thanked us for coming and voting. I love small towns!

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I live in a small town too.
It's nice, in spite of the fact that I'm in the reddest county in bright red Alabackwards.
I don't necessarily want to talk politics in the Seniors forum, although we certainly could.

I lean more towards nostalgia.
What it was like when we were kids, etc.

Let's chat

Anyone have election memories?

I remember voting for Jimmy Carter. I was pregnant. I wanted to call the baby Amy. The newspapers were making fun of Amy Carter. It made me change my mind.
I tell my son that is why his name is not Amy.

my sister and her husband just got into it, so i have lent them some money in private mortgages. but then had a bankruptcy right across my alley, and working on another long neglected property that is about ready to go on the market.
do not like wall street, and gonna take it in the ass from the tax man, but jesus, i couldnt get that money away from them fast enough.

Or it would take too much time to explain it all.
Sometimes I pipe up re other issues.

Yes, we ARE the wise ones, at least re some subjects.
We've seen a lot of water under the bridge, and don't feel the need to jump off a bridge when things - or elections- don't go our way.
Am looking forward to this election going our way, though I foresee many problems in governance (with a Republican House and a Dem. Senate unable to get to 60 votes when needed.
