My son lost his cable TV

During the end of the double overtime OK-GA game. He texted me that “it’s like being trapped in the 20th Century.”
Funny till I realized how long ago the 20th Century was. Someone in their mid-40s has lived half their conscious life after the 20th Century.

4. My story/joke is not longer funny becasue only oldsters understand it.

In 1994 when my granddaughter asked me to bring her the phone and I said I couldn't, she asked "Why". I said "Because the cord isn't long enough." She paused and asked "Why does it have a cord?" That was when I realized that her generation may not have seen or used what we used to consider "standard" phones.

It's no longer funny because hardly anyone has them any longer and anyone under 40 may not have ever seen or used them.

I told my 13 year old grandson, who often loses his phone during the 10 minutes a day he’s not looking at it, that I was going to invent a way that would let you permanently secure your phone to a spot on the wall with your power cord so you would never run out of battery.
