To me, the France attack was provoked by a group of "free speech" advocates who seemed to relish insulting other cultures and didn't seem to mind knowing that it would likely bring violence upon their offices. I guess the money and notoriety was worth it. Shame that innocents were casualties of their arrogance.

The NAACP is about institutional racism, with countless millions of victims, and a disease so deep in our culture that until everyone engages the fight we will not see an end to it.

It's like comparing a kazoo player to, oh, Marlon Jordan.

Take care, MrScorpio.

I remember a two and a half week trip there in May 2007. Eating at a relatives home in Ramatuelle with people from Paris, Lyon, Amien, Marseille . . . All white French people - and all able to converse with me in English.

They were terribly concerned about US (black Americans) - and the Jena 6 (remember that) at that time. I've known this group for about 9 years now - wonderful people - and a two live in Paris.

I posted the Cannes 'meme' re the shooting - and my friend Katia sends me a message regarding the NAACP office.

They are very aware of the situation for us here.

That said - totally - totally not surprised at the 'France' issue being more important to those who have voted thus far.

Many - MY PERCEPTION - do not dislike us - but they don't respect us or believe we hold any value. Their posting history tells us. WE/I am allowed to have an opinion - and I'm not attacking them. I'm just standing in how I have EXPERIENCED their WORDS.

^clearing that up for any alert monkeys^

Are we really surprised?

Like seriously - if my a few klans men burst into my home tonight, and shot me for being black and my husband for being a race traitor -

Not a single one of those France voters would say anything other than - "Well they should have just given those racists their home and then they wouldn't have been shot."

It's who they are Mr. Scorpio. It's all they know.

We gotta accept them for what they are - and just make sure they don't come and piss in this group.

I think there is a war on black people in this Country so I think the NAACP bombing should get more coverage I do think the terrorist attack is also important but we need people to wake up about what is happening to black folks. The older folks still remember the bombings during the civil rights struggle in the 50's and 60's. So this is important to them they marched to end this shit and it's happening again.
