The Usual Suspects

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026327065#post24

It gets so tiresome. Whenever a thread on a racial topic turns up in GD, there are certain white posters that are guaranteed to show up and make their prejudices known. There are a limited number of them, but they always show up. Most of them are already here in this thread, just look at the names. I think it is worthwhile that everyone pay attention to these names.

My biggest complaint about DU moderation is that there is no system to root out patterns of abuse. To me, these noters clearly expressive anti-progressive and borderline racist views. The pattern is that they show up in every race thread to put down the idea that race might even be involved in the subject.

Hillary. Worse yet, the animosity against anyone that has any objection to her is vilified in post after post.

Nice of you to jump in that thread after I'd had a post hidden and couldn't respond. For the record, this particular forum has been filled with a lot of posts about that particular OP and not one of us is even the slightest bit "jealous" that he gets lots of recs here. In fact, we would expect nothing less considering how divorced from reality DU is. 170 recs on a libertarian left web site few have ever heard of ain't nothing to be "jealous" of.

You and other Friends of Manny can say that only Hillary's detractors are vilified but that's not really what's happening. I like Hillary and still don't feel that she needs to be president but it's glaringly apparent that it's the anti-Hillary brigade that have polluted this web site. Some of the criticisms against her have clearly right wing sources. Not that that seems to bother certain people here.

I deleted my response because I don't want to hijack this post. And I don't want to start a new post to discuss. We all know what would happen.

So, I will leave it to you, Number23 and whoever else wants to discuss as to where we can.

After the ferguson report, we still get the reverse racism shit. Like we have too much attention.

Of that comment I approved.

It's what a 'liberal' message board should be about. Embracing and listening without taking offense to those who know the issues. If Democrats are the party of science or facts, why diss the people with experience?

Their knowledge and their willingness to share, even the really painful things, and moreso, the most infuriating things, should automatically be celebrated as part of a communtiy of progressives. Or liberals, whatever.

Some who can't accept that someone else knows more about their own issues than others do!

and I suspect they do not realize their conduct in DU is exactly the reason the Principal is on the right track and affinity groups are a wise approach.
