A photo of Michelle Obama shared on Twitter flaunting her lovely natural tresses is causing a social media meltdown.

The candid snap features the former First Lady wearing a grey headband with her hair in a low puff.

Ever since the photo was posted, the internet has been unable to contain itself, expressing their love for the ‘do in creative ways.

People are excited the former First Lady is showing off her everyday hairdo.

Many black women are told (sometimes, directly to their faces by their own family) that their natural hair is ugly, unprofessional, wild etc., and it MUST be straightened or covered up.



I always loved Michelle regardless of what she did to her hair, but yes this truly is a wonderful picture that means a lot.

I think that while Michelle was first lady she was always looking great and probably wore some very nice natural-looking wigs to avoid criticism from shallow people in the media. I never held it against her and I thought it was totally understandable. Actresses and celebrities wear wigs all the time and nobody says a word.

So she can take it easy now. Good for her, and she still looks great.
