A girl from Altrincham, England has read a mind-boggling number of books over the past year. Faith Jackson counted 942 books completed in 2014, or about 2.58 books per day. Wowsers!

How long are the books? What else does she do in her life?

I'm not employed, and I only manage two books a week, sometimes fewer.

Some weeks I finish three books, then it will take me a couple of weeks to finish just one. Last year I read 91 books. I keep a book list, and the last couple of years I've been doing a small synopsis or my reaction to each book. It's helpful when I go back to see exactly what I've read, or if I want to recommend a book to someone.

Most years close to 11/month.

But then I acted in four plays, ran tech for three others, so rehearsal ate up more than a little time.

Chances are she could read about 830 again and they will seem new for about half the book.

Even in my prime I don't think I ever exceeded 8 books in a week. And yes my school work suffered.

are the lengthy novels or non-fiction that makes up my list. I rarely read anything that comes in under 300 pages, and a good half of them are 500 plus pages. I mean, good for her, and it would be tragic if she ever lost the reading urge, but I could read three books a day if I were reading the ones she's reading.

Oh, and I do enjoy a good YA, and they go fast, which is also why I like them.

This particular summer was devoted to reading..at night..all night (found some of my father's erotic books that summer). I purchased 1/2 dozen lemons each day for a snack, and ate it like an orange, but I ate the skin and all!

It was summer vacation when I was in high school...took one whole night and most of the next day. It was one of those books that you could NOT put down
