Syd Mead had such a heavy influence upon my work as an artist. I have always truly enjoyed his work.

I am deeply saddened by his passing but I am also very grateful that he had such a deep impact upon art design in the film industry that will last well beyond his life. I will sincerely miss him. I would visit his website monthly just to be re-inspired.

1. Blade Runner is over the top beautiful

For some reason I think of it as “achingly” beautiful. I don’t know why my brain leads me to that description, achingly beautiful. But my brain knows.
