First of all, let me start of by congratulating Lebron James and the Heat. They earned the title this year. Lebron didn't get carried at crunch time by his teammates, he didn't choke, he played like a champion should. Props to him specifically. I don't know if the the Heat will win more than one, but they did win one, and it's absolutely legit.

Having said all that, Lebron James is now no longer the Dan Marino of basketball. He has his ring. While people may argue about how the team was put together and how this is different than Jordan, Bird, Magic, etc..., he still won a title, and performed well in doing it. Will this be a turning point for him? Maybe. Maybe this will give him confidence to be the "clutch" player that the others were, and he'll go on to have a big run from now on. Only time will tell on that. As far as his G.O.A.T (Greatest of all time) status goes, he still has a long way to go for that, but he is young enough to say that he still has the potential for it, though I'm still not yet convinced he'll get there.

That's my Mea culpa, and you won't get another on this until he wins not one, not two, not three, not four, not five... Well, lets just say he has a long way to go, and that OKC team is very young (as is Chicago) and should present a challenge for years to come.

Sadly, for me anyway, this was the last Celtics run for a little while.

I complained like heck that tonight's school board meeting lasted to 11:30 pm/est. Another board member kept announcing score updates. (I did get home in time for the final 29 secondsof the game.)

LeBron James is one of a very few non-boxing athletes who I think could have translated his athletic ability into a successful ring career.

Post-season has regular intervals for rest. Also I don't think the lock-out shortened season stopped the best teams from making it to the post-season who the Heat had to defeat in order to win.

I somehow doubt you'd say the same thing if the Thunder won.

Grats to the Heat. I've really gotten into the NBA the last couple years, and already can't wait for next season!
