"Sandoval, who garnered 5,743,542 votes, displaced New York Mets third baseman David Wright (4,133,380) after surging in the final week to make up a deficit of nearly 465,000 votes."

David Wright was voted unto the All Star team when Pablo had the superior stats. 2012 is just the opposite. Therefore it's justice for 2009..

at third in the late innings. It's a defensive baseball move.

"He couldn't care less about playing..." I'll add that to the list of inane El Supremo quotes.

Last time 3 Giants were elected to the All Star team was in 2001.. with Bonds, Kent and Aurilia.

I'd be very happy if all the players on my teams had a little time off to rest physically and mentally. Plus, it makes no sense to risk injury to your best players in an almost meaningless exhibition game. I'd rather see them in the World Series.

so I'm happy for all the Giants who make it. Particularly for Buster, this is his first ASG..and when you consider where he was last year at this time..how could you not feel good for him?

Giants fans did stuff the ballot boxes. But until the vote is left to players and coaches (I'd allow retired players and coaches to vote too), there are going to be debatable results.

That's an awful lot of Rangers - I don't think they're that much better than the rest...

Then again, the Red Sox have also benefited from undue popularity, so I guess I'll just STFU.

I probably won't bother watching.
