Any predictions?
ESPN is saying it's NOT the death penalty, but it may be just as bad, if not worse.
I'm thinking 3 years of no scholarships and 5 years of no bowls.

(10,115 posts)are crippling. I think it could have been far worse. Significant loss of scholarships? What does that even mean? And 4 years with no bowls? So, they take a hit for 4 years and field poor teams (and that is debatable that this will happen)? Bottom line is they still get to play football. And retroactive loss of games. They gave the university the Romney Hit.

(56,177 posts)That really is a slap at Paterno, which is great.
w/ a $60 million fine & their recent bowl revenue is being given away by the conference.
These days, TV money goes to the conference then it is divided equally among the teams. In the Pac-12 case, the LA schools are getting the bigger portion the first couple of seasons then it will be equal among all its teams.
My point is the $60 million + $13 million would equal a TV ban hit of a season or two.
