Just when it seemed DC sports were becomming fun again....

What a horrible couple of days. First the Nats get swept by Atlanta and one of their key players has a bum shoulder (Espinosa) plus Michael Morse has a bad wrist.
Then the Redskins screw the pooch and lose to the Rams on an idiotic personal foul by a wide receiver. Then this news today:
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8390915/washington-redskins-lose-lb-brian-orakpo-season-de-adam-carriker-too
Probably two best defensive players. gone for year
What, did I spend too much time in Cleveland this year and bring their sports luck here?

Bradford is playing, surprisingly, extremely well this season. So far at 8.5 YPA when prior years he couldn't even crack 6.1.

In fact the #1 receiver from 2010 (Amendola) is still on the top of the depth chart(He had 12 receptions in the first half against Washington). They also had Brandon Lloyd. You have a point with the line.

However going from sub-6.1 to 8.5 is a huge leap. Even w/ poor targets, sub-6.1 is very low. I'd expect an improvement up to 7 but 8.5 is fantastic.

But I was hoping the Skins could at least be competitive, shoot for the moon at 8-8. Sigh

I don't know what their schedule is, but I don't think Philly's for real and the Giants and Cowboys are both iffy, so 8-8 is probably do-able.

So far, Philadelphia has allowed 4.2 yards per attempt which is Alabama-like. You could say 1 game of that was against Cleveland but compare Weeden to this week than last week.

As a Cardinals fan I'm shaking, I have a feeling that D is going to eat the Cardinals' QB (whoever starts) alive. I'll say I'm more frightened over the prospects of facing them than last week when it came to New England but that is primarily for offensive reasons. I know the Cardinals D is great so I worry about teams in regards to how well their offense matches up and the Philly D is far better than NE D.

#1 in the league in defensive YPA the final 3 games last season. #9 for the season (first 8 regular season games is why it is low). They have won 9 of their last 11 games -- the best record in the league for the last 11 games.
