At least Jerrah Jones wins something once again...
Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys remain atop the NFL.
At least according to Forbes magazine, which released its annual ranking of the value of sports franchises around the world.
The Cowboys are fifth overall and No. 1 in the NFL with an estimated value of $2.1 billion, according to the report. They are the only NFL team to top $2 billion and trail only three soccer teams Real Madrid ($3.3 billion), Manchester United ($3.1 billion) and Barcelona ($2.6 billion) and the New York Yankees ($2.3 billion).
Its a dip for the Cowboys in the world wide market, according to the Dallas Morning News. They ranked second behind only Man-U in 2011. A year ago, they were tied with the Yankees in third place at $1.85 billion. Still, if the values are close to accurate, were sure Jones has no problem with where he is at in the global picture.
The next four in the NFL are: New England Patriots ($1.63 billion), Washington Redskins ($1.6 billion), New York Giants ($1.468 billion) were and Houston Texans ($1.3 billion). It goes to show you what a difference Cowboys Stadium makes for Jones.
