Are you ready for some late night football?? Raiders-Chargers game moved to 11:35 PM EDT!!!

It's official: This Sunday's Chargers-Raiders game at O.co Coliseum will, in fact, kick off at 8:35 p.m. PT. This isn't a concerted effort to keep the East Coast from being subjected to Raiders football, but a logistical consequence of the Oakland A's hosting a playoff game on Saturday.

Yeah, the IBM guys had to clean all that sticky stuff out of the card readers and card jams!!

the A's would have their own stadium by now.

--- OR ---

Had this extra wild card game never been established, divisional playoffs would have started today. And game 5 (if necessary) would have been Monday.

So desperate is he to move the team to world-class San Jose , where he owns real estate including hotels, that he has repeatedly rebuffed efforts to build a baseball-only stadium in Oakland, much like Boner et al. are doing with the government.

I live on the east coast, I'm usually up until 3am anyway, so it will be nice to watch live sports for a change... On the downside, it's the raiders and chargers.

At 2-2, the Chargers aren't that great, either. Rivers is aging, their running game sucks, and they haven't made the playoffs in several years. In addition to that, they don't even have any Super Bowl titles. Though the Raiders haven't made the postseason in a decade, they still have the most SBs out of any team in the AFC West. The Broncos, Chargers, and Chiefs are all chokers in the playoffs.

the Raiders are up 17-0 at half. I'm not counting my chickens yet, since I'm well aware of how Rivers and his gang love to play possum against us through the first half and then come back. But boy, I fucking wish that I could watch this game right now; I don't have cable yet and can only get the basic channels, not NFL Network.

I admit I wasn't all that familiar with him but I seem to recall his passing skills/mechanics were often a subject of criticism at Ohio State but he is passing the ball very well in his first season as a starter.

Footwork, accuracy, handoffs, fakes, intuition, improvisation -- all there. Arm strength may be questioned, but ever since Bill Walsh called that attribute bullshit I don't take it seriously.
