http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2605072-chargers-raiders-rams-file-for-relocation-to-la-details-comments-reactionAccording to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, all three teams filed for relocation Monday. As Kevin Patra of NFL.com noted, Monday was the first day the three franchises could apply for relocation. The NFL confirmed the filings in a statement, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:...
Fan support is an issue any relocating team will have to deal with and gradually build, but the squads must first earn the right to relocate. Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com said an NFL owners' vote is scheduled for Jan. 12-13, while Patra passed along a report from Rapoport that pointed out any owner who moves a team to Los Angeles must pay a $550 million relocation fee.
Rams, please. That gives both the Bay Area and SoCal an NFC and an AFC team.

(14,176 posts)I'm not interested in being the Raiders' rent-a-city and I haven't lived in LA long enough to pine for the old days of the Rams, no matter how many times I have watched Heaven Can Wait. Besides, I'd like the Rams' owner to stew in his own juices after dissing TL so badly in his application for relocation.

(78,249 posts)they would share a stadium in Carson a la the Giants and Jets. And one of them would have to change conferences, along with some other team out there.

(14,176 posts)to be honest, the best proposal IMO is the Rams' Inglewood deal--in addition to everything else, I'd like to see Inglewood get the economic advantages that would come with a stadium. The proposal includes recording studios, tv studio space for NFL Network west coast broadcasting, a concert venue, retail space, etc. But that means taking THAT team, with a coach who hasn't had a winning season in, I think, 7 years (dating back to the Titans). And of all the shady owners in the NFL, the Rams seem to have one of the shadiest.
