Marshawn Lynch hasn't spent a penny of the $49.7 million in salary he has earned

Lynch has been living the last nine years off of endorsements and other business ventures. Lynch is estimated to earn about $5 million per year through endorsement deals with Nike, Pepsi, Skittles, Progressive, and Activision, according to Forbes.

Is this one of the things the NFL has been suggesting to incoming rookies for a few years? If so, it's better advice than "make sure you have a fall guy".

It's sad to see these guys that end up dead broke when they are 45.

Plus, if he's "living" on 5 million a year now, that $49.7 million salary should get him about that much each year if invested well.

If "living" means he's buying homes now, he won't have to buy new homes every year after retirement. That will be settled business.

Also, he won't be paying 10 or 15% for representation.
