since there doesn't seem to be one.
So far, women's 2nd seed and French Open champion Gabrine Muguruza lost yesterday, and 7th seed Bencic retired with a wrist injury.
Spoilers for today's action in a reply.

(101,399 posts)Men's 4th seed Stan Wawrinka lost to Juan Martin del Potro.
Venus Williams had an epic battle against both the rain (4 rain delays) and Daria Kasatkina to eventually win their 3rd round match 7-5 4-6 10-8. (going off once when Venus had a match point, which she couldn't win). Not bad for a 36 year old to win a 10-8 set!
Serena won in 3 sets against fellow American Christina McHale in their 2nd round match, after losing her opening service game and then the first set on a tiebreak.
Djokovic lost his first set against Sam Querrey of the USA in a tiebreak, and then fell apart in the 2nd - 6-1 to Querrey. Rain has saved Djokovic more embarrassment for today, so he gets to regroup and try again tomorrow.

(56,177 posts)and come back tomorrow...unfortunately.
I felt bad for Juan Martin after the first set...I shouldn't have. I didn't want either to lose, a sh*tty second round match-up...two players who should have met in the later rounds.

(56,177 posts)But not really sure how ready he is...but it does really help because Djoker got in his head and he has trouble believing he can beat him...now that he's out, gotta boost his confidence. We'll see if Sam can keep it up, also that guy who took out Thiem whose name escapes me, could be a dark horse.

(101,399 posts)Isner v. Mahut in 2010 is the longest Grand Slam match ever, at Wimbledon; Tsonga v. Raonic in 2012 (also at Wimbledon) is the most games in an Olympic match.
Currently 12-12 in the 5th.

(101,399 posts)I missed Tsonga's fightback in the 3rd; at the moment, Murray is pulling ahead in the 4th, but it's far too early to call it.
But I hope Murray wins because (a) he's British (b) I want it to be over before the Wales-Portugal football match starts!
