Kaepernick takes a knee!

No, not in victory, obviously. The game just started. Colin did not sit the anthem out tonight, but knelt instead.

The cowardly Chargers moved the anthem up until just before 7 when the network coverage started , but it was on at the end of the local newscast on the SF CBS station.

I like him more than I did. Easy to pretend you are patriotic, hard to make a personal stand th a t goes against political correctness.

Due to not being a good player and isn't going to suffer and actual harm for this. It's not like he's getting his skull fractured like John Lewis. Half the league isn't threatening to not play like they did to Jackie Robinson.

He's not displaying any real courage because he's not being threatened with any real harm.

He came into this preseason injured but still stayed on top of things and played well with the limited opportunities he had. He's had two great seasons, the season after that the 49ers lead the league in drops.

Last year he was under a new staff, in the 49ers/Cardinals game Mathieu said they telegraphed their routes so it was easy to jump them for picks. That's a problem with playcalling, he's under a new system which is a better fit for him coming out of the pistol offense in Nevada.
