Oh brother, my folks are a "NFL boycott" household

I never even considered that unlike my in-laws who just don't watch football that my folks don't watch the NFL anymore. I'm turning it on regardless. Thanksgiving without football?

Ole Miss and Mississippi State

Yes they probably will watch college because, you know, because of the purity of the game.

Fox News viewers.

...until a couple of months ago I attended a stock car race at the local track. I enjoy the races. Yes, it is possible for a liberal to enjoy racing. But what I didn't expect was the vitriol expressed by the announcers and by the drivers regarding the NFL. One car actually had painted on it "Fuck the NFL." The track announcer claimed that this was a patriotic, family-friendly event, unlike the NFL.

Jeesh, all I wanted to do was watch some races and I get assaulted with such idiocy.

Yes it's drilled into their heads. I was just checking for something on Fox News website and they still have a story (opinion) about the NFL in the top 5 stories on their website.

Not watching football on Thanksgiving Day is un-American. If you don't watch you are supporting the Taliban, and the gay agenda, and emasculating the young males of the family. Do you think Ronald Reagan would turn off football because of a few uppity football players? Hell no! Charlton Heston likes watching football from heaven, it's a fact. You have to ask folks who don't watch football on Thanksgiving one simple question: "Why do you hate the United States so much?"

Well, they traded that for Trubisky, didn't they?

Do NFL boycotters actually go and watch other sports once they have boycotted the NFL? Or do they just sit on there arses tweeting rubbish instead?

Plenty of people complain about the English Premier league for very different reasons, but it's a heck of a job to get people to take an interest in other sports.

I usually watch a Suns basketball (though mostly Democrats watch the NBA) game during the primetime games. I sometimes will watch other things during primetime hours (mostly because they have Dallas on) there is so much competition for entertainment in the fall-winter and without the Sunday ticket there is only a few games to choose from unlike college so it wouldn't be very hard to boycott.

Now with college basketball starting up I'll probably choose Sun Devils games over anything because unlike all my other teams they are actually pretty good.

I'm not boycotting the NFL at all but it is easy to find other stuff to watch when my team isn't playing.

But in reality, they will continue to piss and moan while they watch their NFL games; they need to have something to piss and moan about while they drink beer, talk stupid, and holler.
