Hubby went to friends house who is a big Vikings fan. His friend is probably buying the airplane ticket to be there with his friends to watch game and celebrate if they win.

the Saints' SBnation blog (Canal Street Chronicles), and a few of the regulars there have the idea that Williams might have intentionally missed the tackle. As someone with no dog in the fight, I'm happy for the Vikings, and that it is now a certainty that we'll have at least one team appear in the "Owl" that had never won before.

P.S. I also think it's a dumb rule to force the teams to run the PAT play following the game-winning TD. It's not as if the PAT would change the game result. It should be treated like a walk-off HR in baseball.

The league should address that silly rule during the off-season.

The idea that Williams deliberately missed the tackle strikes me as highly unlikely. You?

insane, especially considering that he is a rookie and would be risking his career to throw a game.

that PAT was huge if you took Minnesota to cover. I can just imagine the expletives ...

1. He was trying to place the tackle to keep Diggs inbounds.
2. He got there early and had to hold up to not get the PI.

Those two things combined to make that a non-tackle.

That said, that rookie is going to have a long off-season to think about that play. I feel badly for him. Not too badly as I'm a Vikes fan, but that's a tough way to end the game.

All they had to do was let the Vikings player catch the throw and tackle him to end the play. Time would expire and Saints win. Instead the Vikings player tried to intercept! Poor coaching!!!!

I'm still processing that it wasn't the Vikings that choked in a playoff game.
