(29,322 posts)OKC said they felt making a trade for Paul George was the only way to attract a free agent so I see this as a similar situation. I think they were great in the regular season but had a slump in the playoffs. Leonard gives them somebody with playoff confidence.

(17,304 posts)Haven't seen much of you around here lately. Hope all is well with you.
DeRozan will be missed in Toronto. Besides being a talented player, he was very active in charitable events and spoke out on his mental health struggles, which made him more relatable to the average citizen. He was embraced by most in the city.

(29,322 posts)All is fine there but I got an anchor put on me as well as a couple others (not sure why)so threads we post will sink even if it has new replies which so I decided to come back here and post this because the software here doesn't do that even though it still looks very divisive here.
Good to see you though. Agree on DeRozan.

(17,304 posts)but is he possibly mellowing a bit in his old age? I saw an interview with him about the trade and he was pretty laid back. Maybe because it's the off-season. He's always so terse after games, even victories.

(65,037 posts)I was not surprised. He's not the type to take swipes after the fact. There's a good will thing he needs to maintain because he's now the head coach of USA Basketball.
Taking "out the door" shots at a great former player of his would be ill received among the stars they need for the WC's and Olympics.
