College football: Virginia Union 90 - Lincoln (PA) 0

Scoring by quarter by Union 14-14-28-34

There would be no homecoming letdown in Richmond on Saturday.

Virginia Union dominated Lincoln from start to finish, setting several new offensive records in a 90-0 win.

Here are four other numbers that show how dominant the Panthers were over the Lions on Saturday.

494: VUU rushed for the most yards in school history, topping the 490 mark it set in 2009.
12: VUU’s total touchdowns was also a new record, beating the one set against Saint Paul’s in 1950.
9: Nine players scored and nine total rushing touchdowns were accumulated, both new records.
1916: The last time VUU scored more points than it did on Saturday. That was also against Saint Paul’s.
VUU improved to 4-1.

They lost to Carson - Newman 33-29. Union scored on the last play of the game to get to that score. I know a C-N alum who was in town so we saw them game together.

Hovey Field is the second oldest college football field (after Harvard's) still in use. 1907.

. . .if one is going to be that non-competitive.

Would be better and cheaper to scrap the program.
