Biles, Dalaloyan add more gold in historic day at Doha Worlds

World All-around champions Simone Biles (USA) and Artur Dalaloyan (RUS) each added one more gold medal Friday in the apparatus finals at the 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Doha (QAT), where Xiao Ruoteng (CHN), Nina Derwael (BEL), and Eleftherios Petrounias (GRE) also struck gold.

Biles won gold in the Vault and a silver on the Uneven Bars at the Aspire Dome, keeping alive her hope of becoming the first gymnast to win a medal in every event at the world championships in 31 years. With 13 world championships gold medals, she has passed the all-time record of 12 golds won by Vitaly Scherbo (BLR) from 1991-1996. She joins a distinguished group of gymnasts who have won world championships medals in every event.
