LIV golfers are upset that they're getting lower rankings than PGA tour...

golfers. I don't see how they can be ranked with the PGA golfers as they're playing a different game.

Their tournaments are only three days. There is no cut and everybody gets paid, meaning there's no pressure to make the cut...a tremendous difference that separates the wheat from the chaff and has defined the PGA tour since it's inception.

IMO they took the Saudi money and now don't like the consequences.

What say you, fellow golfers?

I do wish they would STFU already. Playing tfg's courses taints them with treasonous behavior. And will get worse.

No one yet has chimed in on the fact that they play a different, less stress and pressure game. They know they're going to get a check as there's no cut.

Also, half that tour is barely good enough for Korn Ferry, so who are the top guys beating?
I'm not sure the no-cut aspect has an effect, especially to the guys worried about their world ranking. Those guys miss very few cuts anyway.
But having to only sustain 3 days of solid play is easier, for sure.
Now compound that with the competition being substantially lesser and the rankings points have to be adjusted.
For Tour events, designated tournaments earn more points. Why? Because all the top flight players show up.
When there are 45 guys that can win, sustained strong play for 4 rounds is much tougher than 3 rounds where only 5 guys have a reasonable chance of winning.
Finally, yes I find their whining annoying.

which is why the PGA tour is more stressful and has more pressure on the golfers than LIV golf does were everyone gets paid and there's no cut.

It's called, IMO, separating the condenders from the pretenders.

LIV doesn't care about tour players who regularly miss cuts.
The players they care about rarely miss cuts.
Koepka didn't miss a cut before he defected for around 40 tournaments & something like 4 in 5 seasons.
Dechambeau is a little more at risk, but still under 7% of all events.
Your point is fair, but not sure it applies to the upper tier guys whining about their world rankings.
Guys that miss 8 cuts per year aren't worried about their world ranking. They already know it's well into triple digits.

It's not unusual at all.

In his last nine events of the 2023 campaign, Jordan Spieth missed four cuts, two of which came at historically comfortable spots: the Charles Schwab Challenge and Scottish Open.

Rory McIlroy missed the cut at The Players Championship a week after finishing tied for second at Quail Hollow, then he was cut at the BMW PGA Championship, and he suffered the same fate at the Memorial a week later — one of his favorite courses. McIlroy did finish seventh at the St. Jude Classic the week before the U.S. Open, but he still was cut at Olympic after shooting a 7-over 77 in his first round, and a 150 overall.

Not only was John Rahm one of the favorites coming into the week, he hadn’t missed a cut since the Fortinet Championship in September 2021 (he withdrew from the 2023 PLAYERS Championship with an illness after the first round). It’s the 14th missed cut in 147 PGA events for Rahm and just his third missed cut in his last 57 starts.

The eight missed cuts in Viktor Hovland 's professional career are distributed as follows: four in the 2019-20 season, one in the 2020-21 season and three in the 2021-22 season.

Dustin Johnson, who won four times in 2020, including his second major at the Masters, has now gone seven starts on the PGA Tour without a top 10, a stretch that includes two missed cuts and three finishes of 48th or worse.

Sorry, but you don't know the game that well. It's easy to research such a basic question on whether top golfers miss cuts.

As someone who played competitive golf from 1971-1976, then again fron 1994-2005, I will tell you, unequivocally, that top players do not worry about making the cut.
Everyone has bad weeks and it happens.
But, top 50 players don't stand on the first tee on Thursday worrying about the cut.
Even I didn't, and I was a light-year from world class. Not a single one of them!
You grossly overestimate what you know about this, and you should cut your losses.
You're not in the same ballpark as me in understanding competitive golf.

The fact is some top players and the players not in the top top ranks but still pro golfers in a PGA tournament, miss the cut in every PGA event and don't get paid but still have expenses to pay to go on to the next event.

Which is the whole point of my OP about LIV golfers who sold out for the less stressful and different game they play on the LIV tour (always get paid), complaining about not getting world rankings.

Yes, it's a different game (I am not a fellow golfer either).

As a sports fan and okay, a purist, I don't like when the product is watered down. True pros shouldn't mind it either.

This is also happening in the NCAA with NIL money. It sucks for the fans, but we have become wildly irrelevant.
