My 96 dodge Ram 1500 is a pleasure to work on, easy peasy. Lots of room to work and nothing outrageous to deal with in the engine bay.

Plus, it runs perfect and has another 250,000 miles left in it at least. Oil changes and regular maintenance are the only real thing needed to keep it running great, plus I don't ever try and race it or push it hard at all.

Too litigious to suggest someone could work on their engine (plus, they’re a lot more complicated than 50 years ago). But the battery acid? Good grief ...

Almost nothing came with solid lifters in 1970. But it is "truthy" in spirit and funny as hell...
