It'll be interesting to watch these mega-contracts play out ...

The money is based on past performance, of course, like, when players were young studs in their prime.

Now there's the added pressure of all that money, plus owner, fan and media expectation. Add in aging pitching arms. Throw in the unexpected -- playing injury, freak accident, disease. Its quite a roll of the dice.
