New asterisk category.

With the dimension of the bases going from 15 square inches to 18 inches does that mean new base stealing records need to have an asterisk.

The size of the base will not decrease the length of the base path. The base-to-base length will remain at 90 feet, but bigger bases will give players a bigger target to hit, especially when a player’s foot is holding the base on defense.

A bit more real estate to avoid the tag.

Those extra inches could mean a big difference in the rate of success for base stealers.

Sarcasm. I think.

must have some identifying mark if not set within 154 games, but no such mark was mandated when Koufax broke Feller’s 1948 strike out record in 1965.

So much has changed, let alone the drugs.

Is anyone else old enough to remember the strike zone "from the letters to the knees"? (formerly the shoulders?)
Records of the "Negro Leagues" were not entered until very recently. Are they fully incorporated?
Maris got grief when the number of games per season changed.

Everything changes, even in MLB ( "Like a herd of turtles", some say)
Sometime, slower than turtles.

The first base coach had to get tossed for this to happen.

I don't think that the second-baseman is using cell phone, but the runner whose phone slid out of his pocket before he could touch base probably is a first. (no picture available)
