skittish hummers in the area who fight for the right to slurp or wait their turn in the crabapple tree. The cicadas are really singing with this heat and humidity. Might rain, might not tonight - forecasters just aren't sure what to expect, I guess. The storms last night (3am) came in from a very unusual direction, and I didn't see the little birdies yet today - maybe this evening? How long will you keep the feeder up in the coming weeks/months?

I’ve noticed when they first get here in the spring, they look pretty beat up for a few days. I figure I was a long tough trip North.
After a few days at the feeder the are nice and shiny and their feathers have smoothed down.
