Spring migration is underway in Maine

Turkey vulture - chased by a raven
Killdeers
Song sparrows and robins singing.
Canada geese, goldeneyes, buffleheads, mallards, hooded & common mergansers in the river

Still have 2 feet of snow in the yard though

I always see American White Pelicans in the lakes. I don't know where they're going or where they came from, because I'm not much of a birder, I just watch them in a non-knowledgeable way.

Also - the ospreys are busy, and the great tailed grackles, as well as all the garden varieties of sparrows, Mexican finches, mourning doves and so on. I'm waiting to see swallows, I haven't seen those yet, and it seems they should be around already. I could watch them fly for hours.
