▶️Snowy Owl Nest: First Reaction to the Video Camera

The cutest owlet reaction happens at the end of this video. I use a small camera that fits easily into the environment and does not frighten the animals. The size of the camera allows you to "observe" directly from the scene. The camera works autonomously for many hours so you can see unique pictures, undetected and without worry.

Didi laid 9 eggs in spring. Now she has 8 owlets of different ages. The younger ones are still small, helpless and blind - the female must warm them. The older ones are already quite independent for thermoregulation and can themselves warm the younger ones.

Owls begin incubation by laying their first egg. Therefore, their owlets can have a big difference in age and size. In this nest, the older one hatched 18 days earlier than the younger one and has already eaten several dozen lemmings.
