It makes no sense to change Qbs at that point of the game. He put Daniels in a no win situation. I don’t think Nagy can repair the damage he caused tonight. On the good note there’s a shit load of pro ready QBs coming out of college over the next two years.

teach to make NFL type throws when needed. I believe Jackson is the latest prototype, but Wilson would be my model.

not long ago draftee QBs wouldn't start without two to three years of back-up status. Now they're expected to compete right out of college. Admittedly, some succeed (Kyler Murray is looking very good) but others need time to learn.

I'm not familiar enough with the Bears to comment further, so I'll point to Baker Mayfield as an example of a guy with incredible potential who was thrust into starting without necessarily being ready to do so (plus he's unfortunately saddled with an inexperienced head coach and an underachieving offensive line -- a worse-case scenario for any young QB if there ever was one).

IMO it's not fair to give up on Trubisky yet.

5. Lamar Jackson had a horrible offensive line when he was thrust in as a rookie.

Now his line is much better and he may be more dangerous to a defense than Mahomes.

3. What QBs did Nagy pass up on to draft that guy?

Wasn't Jackson the person, or was it Mahomes and Watson?

rated Mahomes and Watson ahead of the QB that the Bears moved up to draft. The scout's had talks with the coaches for all three players and they didn't feel that the QB the Bears drafted had been tested under fire as much as the other two, add to that Watson had just won a National Championship by beating Alabama.

When defensive linemen today can run as fast as some tight ends and bench enormous weight as well as jump high into the air, going with the classic pocket passer QB model is a little senseless, my guess is the future will feature moving pockets to get away from defensive linemen and the QB has to be athletic enough to move, set quickly and throw.
