Pirate101 edges out GW2 for MMORPG.com's 2012 Players Choice Game of the Year

GAME OF THE YEAR: Pirate101

With 27.8% of the vote (0.5% more than Guild Wars 2), KingsIsle (home of some of the devs that brought us Shadowbane) proved that a family friendly MMO can have a legion of loyal fans behind a deceptively deep and engaging strategy MMORPG. Congrats to P101 for this fantastic upset.

This is the game I ditched WOW for, btw. (still playing, 1 level away from max level)

Level 89 right now. Can't finish Azteca until they fix a bug with a few things (not just my account but others) where you finish quests, leave, come back, and the triggers are reset but quests are not.

Should be fixed next week from the email support sent me.

Have not tried P101 yet, have friends and family who just started w101 and am helping them (I am a Necromancer).

What did you think of the new world?
