Documents Reveal Knowledge Cardinals Had Of Priest Sex Abuse

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/01/22/documents-reveal-knowledge-cardinals-had-of-priest-sex-abuse/
The common link among all the Roman Catholic priests, whose records of alleged sexual abuse were released yesterday, is that they all reported to the Archbishop of Chicago.
...
One of the saddest stories involves a pair of predatory priests, Robert Becker and Kenneth Ruge who shared young victims with each other.

Becker actually confessed to Cardinal Bernardin in 1986, and was placed on sick leave. Six months later, Bernardin agreed to “talk with Father Gerald Kicanas about teaching a course part-time,” at the seminary in Mundelein.

It was one of several times Cardinal Bernardin chose to return predators to ministry rather than keeping them away from children.

I was only pointing out a discrepancy in the article.

Certainly he should've been arrested, tried and if convicted served time in prison. No one here arguing otherwise.

The fact that this entity, the Roman Catholic Church, still has the vulgar audacity to produce venomous statements accusing gay parenting itself as being 'child abuse' is astonishing. This story alone covers more than 30 years of systemic, institutionally supported abuse. And yet they dare accuse others of wrongs simply for existing. How dare they.
