Judge throws out atheist group's lawsuit against Orange County schools

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A federal judge has tossed out a lawsuit filed by an atheist group against the Orange County School District.

That group called the Central Florida Free Thought Community, sued last year after the district initially banned them from handing out materials in high school. The group sued after, a Christian group was allowed to hand out Bibles.

According to the Orlando Sentinel the judge decided to dismiss the suit because the district eventually reversed its decision.

The group is now allowed to hand out its materials to students, but so far has chosen not to.
