Hosting Changes

Today we are implementing the changes requested in the last hosting poll. I will be solely responsible for hosting decisions in this group. All of the other hosts will be removed.

Does anyone have an objection with me keeping on ZombieHorde as a backup? There may be a time when I'm away or unavailable and I might ask him to cover. ZH was part of the original hosting group and I trust that he understands what we're trying to do.

[font style="font-family:papyrus,'Brush Script MT','Infindel B',fantasy;" size=4 color=teal]And I don't have a problem with what you are proposing at all.

I want to thank you, and all the previous hosts for all the hard work you put into this group. I don't interact with you much but from everything I have seen you have always called things down the middle and fairly.

I want to give you my deepest thanks for that.[font style="font-family:papyrus,'Brush Script MT','Infindel B',fantasy;" size=4 color=teal]

I find it really distracting and hard to read, but I am hypersensitive to things like that.

She very graciously agreed to not use it when responding directly to me, which I very much appreciate.

I think RD is referring to this thread:

As always if anyone does not like it, let me know & I'll make note not to use it when replying.

I think the key is your willingness to accommodate those that find it difficult to read, and I very much appreciate that about you.

I have no objection to ZH staying on as backup and I think that is a wise decision.

Kudos to you all.

and I do think it is a good idea to have a backup, since you might actually have better things to do sometimes.

Thanks to all who have been hosts in the past, and good luck. I hope that your responsibilities will be minimal.

The only thing I would like to add is that if you ever decide to stop hosting please just remove all (two) of the hosts and let the admins take over the hosting role, so we do not have to go through this nonsense again.

As long as he does not eat too many of our brains.

Now, the question is, can this group get back to respectful discussion without personal attacks?

I sincerely hope so.

Thank you for hosting this group. Having been there before, I know it is not always easy, even though there is generally nothing to be done. It does make you a lightning rod to some extent.

BTW, I purchased some talismans which keep ZombieHorde a safe 5 feet away from me at all times. I would be glad to send you one.

Everyone needs a backup so that they can go on vacation.

At least that's what I'm told at work
