Students chant 'you killed Jesus' at game against school with many Jewish students

BY CHRISTOPHER BRENNAN NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Updated: Sunday, March 13, 2016, 5:31 AM

A Catholic school in Massachusetts has apologized after some of its pupils chanted “you killed Jesus” at a game against a school with many Jewish students.

The fan section of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury unleashed the anti-Semitic cheer when its basketball team visited Newton North High School on Friday night.

Memorial’s President Peter Folan called the chanting “unacceptable” and said that the offending students had to personally apologize to Newton’s interim principal after the game.

Newton Superintendent David Fleishman told Wicked Local that the incident was “upsetting and troubling and highly insensitive” for him and his students.

The ROMANS killed Jesus. The Romans killed a lot of other Jews, and they killed a lot of other people all over the Middle East. Back when I was a girl, this simple fact was beginning to percolate through our consciousness, fresh from the WWII Nazi effort to emulate the Romans. Nowadays, I see a disturbing tendency to once again whitewash the Roman atrocities and shift the blame for many of their misdeeds onto as many of their victims as possible, as the rich and powerful of our nation fall prey once again to the delusion of Empire building.

Jews tried him.

Romans executed him. At the behest of Jews, whether the "demos" or the "1%".

But most people ignore why Jesus was killed, according to the gospels. As a kind of passover sacrifice, to protect his people from death; for their sins, to remove the penalty that they earned and deserved.

"God doesn't make junk" is a common t-shirt. I'm sure Cain, Jezebel, Omri, and Judas Iscariot would have agreed.

The record has Jesus saying nothing bad about the Romans. Even Paul has little bad to say about them. Not their concern.

In keeping with simply being factual about the Romans and the Crusades, people should also be simply factual about the Islamic conquest, Persian empire (of which Iran is the rump), Chinese expansionism and imperialism, and some cultural practices in some other lesser developed parts of the world. Problem is, many can criticize, but first have to have the right filters on their glasses.

or you wouldn't be able to go to heaven!"

Yeah, I guess that doesn't work very well as a chant.

Their one god killed Jesus, who is their other god, but who is the same god, along with another guy who's a ghost, but don't try to make sense of that because it's all very mysterious.

So anyway...

God killed Jesus. God is Jesus. God killed himself.

That's right. It was a suicide. And now he can't go to heaven. Very tragic.
