1. It is past time that priests should not be left alone with children.

I have never understood how parents leave their children unattended at church. I'm not Catholic but if I were, I would have been best organizer of parent volunteers in the Parish! : )

2. The headline is misleading.

The Catholic Church of Montreal plans to bar priests, volunteers and all those involved in faith education from being alone with children.

It affects not only priests but volunteers and Sunday school teachers. Those volunteers and teachers are ususually parents in the parish, who also will not be alone with children.

You also left out the reason for this policy, which, as the article states, is a pilot program only at this point.

When asked to clarify the reasons behind the policy, Sarrazin named three.

"Protecting victims, protecting families, protecting the church," he said.

Yes, trotsky, sometimes there are false and/or mistaken allegations made. Do you dispute that?
