If they are flat out lies, why would he resign?

(16,104 posts)As we know, more and more Christians are identifying as unaffiliated, so behavior of 'leaders' who have no authority for the vast majority of Christians is fairly unrepresentative of anything.
I'm sure he will be subject to same 'due process' as anyone else is entitled to, and justice will in the end be served.

While I believe a Pope WOULD resign over these kind of proven activities, you're implying he hasn't for an actual act.

You apparently blanked out Benedict, or think he just needed rest or something, not that he can't leave the Vatican because people want him to face consequences for what he did when he was head of the Inquisition.
