No different than those of any other culture. And tells us things about tose peoples, but nothing about the existence of any gods.

about reconciling free will with a deterministic physical universe. It is a hugely complicated subject, with roots going back to the beginning of the western philosophical tradition.

These days it is not about making sense of the biblical cosmology, that stuff is hopeless.

education extraordinaire like some.
I used the term to signify that I hold as reasonable in Christian theory or deduction that the cosmos and all within was created during a very long span of time and not within the rigid 'six day' timeframe. And this creative force could be seen as using an evolutionary process.

Oy.

the meaning of the name Eve is omitted. Eve in Hebrew means life. But for some atheistic literalists, the story must only be read literally so it can be used to criticize religion.

The literal interpretation of genesis, including Adam and Eve, was accepted as true within Christian culture almost universally until at least the mid 19th century.

Now of course it is embarrassingly idiotic so apologists have been inventing fan fiction to attempt to salvage something.

You might also note how you didn’t even attempt to explain how your nonsense claim wasn’t a non-sequitur.

So as I said, please do continue to bear false witness. I’m more than happy to republish your nonsense for all to see. There might be someone left who doesn’t understand the depths of your insincerity.

I politely explained how you misrepresented my post from the beginning and even gave you the benefit of the doubt. You should have quit while you were behind. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how many times you want to relive your mistake.

By all means please continue. I’m interested to see how far down the rabbit hole this goes and I’m easily amused.

Not to mention the billions of people who did so since that story originated. Seems like it would take a lot of "hubris" to believe you got it right and they got it wrong, no?

Oh wait, I forgot you just parroted it and pretended it was your own original thought. Either way you disparage those who do actually take it literally and have for thousands of years.

I believe someone once said, “Some feel that their own intellect is capable of discerning what is true and what is merely illusion. The Greeks had a word for that. The word is hubris.”

Can’t for the life of me remember who said that. At any rate it makes more sense now, no?

Either way it’s hilarious, so please don’t stop.
