Here's one way to divide the universe of possibilities in two:
1. Propose, to people high in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church, changes of doctrine and changes of policy, trying to work within the church, but accepting that the proposed changes will likely be considered heretical; or
2. Market the new church directly to laypeople who consider themselves to be Catholics
You can choose one of the above, or you can propose some other way to divide the universe of possibilities into two parts.

(36,286 posts)Put the control at the parish level. Require all candidates for ordination to be sponsored by a parish. Bishops to be elected by parishioners of the diocese.
Women priests, married priests.
Same sex marriage
Acknowledge that people make mistakes and/or change - make a provision to dissolve a marriage without claiming there was never a marriage.
Offer Mass using either the 1970 translation or the original ICEL translation.
