Looks like I need surgery to remove a cataract in my right eye.

Looks like the doc found another starting in my left eye as well. I made an appointment for the surgery on May 15th, does this look like a good date for this? I'd look at my calender, but I can barely read it! Needless to say I'm a bit bummed out about this as I again watch all the money I've been saving to go back East get eaten up by medical costs. I guess I won't be moving anywhere anytime soon! Arrrrghhh!

I bought some chocolate and wine. Going to stay up all night.

I'm glad you can have the surgery though sorry it will cost money.

Just imagine how much brighter things may seem once you can see clearly.

Have chocolate and wine...good plan.

as I have some dental work needing attention. I keep putting it off, but suspect I'll have to take care of it within the month.

For you, I looked at a newsletter I get both in email and physical mail, called Dr. Jonathan V. Wright's Nutrition & Healing. I can't seem to copy the search page (probably using java or flash) so just put in the word "cataract" and you'll get three pages of hits to research

I hope this is useful to you, and maybe let your doctor know, if he/she is open to complimentary medicine

I'm waiting to see if the insurance will pay for this. Either way it looks like another chunk of money going away. Thank you for your support.

I understand some of that feeling. I keep saving for major life upgrades and having other things crop up that demand immediate care. Seems to be the way things are right now.

You'll get back East. Maybe not the way you thought, but somehow it will happen!

Meantime, healing energy for successful surgery headed your way

Thank you for your kind words. Yeah, I'll get back East sometime, I just wanted it to be now! It turns out that there are some people out here that are happy that I'm not leaving so fast. I guess I'll spend more time hanging out with them. I still wonder if the date for the surgery is a good date astrologically. Stupid cataract, I can't read my astrological calender without my magnifying glass and I can't find it at the moment!

After a lifetime of wearing glasses on account of nearsighted astigmatism, I now have 20/20 vision and could have the glasses restriction removed from my driver's license. I still need reading glasses cause I couldn't afford the extra cost of the crystal lenses. However, I don't know how old you are. You don't have to have the surgery right away if you can still see to drive. Maybe you can't drive at night, but if you can hang in there, until you are sixty-five Medicare picks up the cost.

My vision right now is 20/50 so I need it removed now. It's strange that I've gone through all of my life being able to see perfectly, enough that I could draw like a kodac camera (kodac was my nickname in art school) and now everything is blurry in that one eye. We're hoping that the medical insuance will pick up some of the costs since I'm only (only?!) 53. I have to drive at night because that's when I work. Thank you for your kind words.
