☦️ Orthodox Christianity - 'Seven Things Which Are An Abomination To God'

Proverbs 6:16–19 lists seven things which are also abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

Matthew 6:25 - “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?"

The clothing we wear is not what is most important – trusting God is.

Parts of the OT were written by priests, scribes, etc. who happened to be *male* and thus translated their views in such a manner.

As rich as the OT is in fundamental universal truths, The New Testament supercedes it with Truth, Grace, Forgiveness, Everlastiing Life exemplified by *The One Person*.

you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” That fits in very nicely with Christ’s message in the NT.
