The first known human lived in Ethiopia 2.8 million years ago, according to the fossil evidence. A human jawbone was excavated from the remote site and was found in association with the rusted metal remains of a .44 magnum revolver. It is theorized that the first human constructed the weapon in fear of so many homo erectus coming out in the area. Due to the fragmentary remains of the skull, the first human apparently shot itself in the head while cleaning the revolver. Other researches object to this claim, postulating suicide as a more likely theory, as "humans have it in their nature to destoy themselves".
