3. Saw the landing event live from JPL on NASA TV - but this is really COOL

To actually see the descent of the Rover.
I teared up again at the end when Mission Control erupted in cheering. I wish We could kill the F-35 and take just a fraction of it's budget to build more of these amazing machines.  |

The "bluff" appears to have strata (layers) and there appears to be deposits on either sides on the dry meandering streambed.
All this brings out the young geologist in me. 
So fucking cool... Yup! |
