You know what I see when I see that exchange? Two people who will never change each others minds on this subject. Might as well just not bring it up.

I don't go making anti-god posts on her FB wall when she posts her hourly bible devotions. It's her shit, she can post what she wants.

However, SHE made this response to a post I made. I've told her repeatedly that I will not put things that disagree with her worldview on her wall or posts she makes, because I'm not going to be disrepectful to her beliefs. But I will not hold my tongue when she posts this shit either on my page directly, or in response to a post I or one of my friends have made.

SHe's spewed this shit before. Oh, Jerry Falwell doesn't worship MY God. Benny Hinn doesn't speak for MY God, Pat Robertson doesn't read MY bible...

Her beliefs are her beliefs, adn I leave her alone about them. WHen she brings them to my "house", so to speak, I'm going to respond.

You're right, I'm not going to change my mind. She's changed her mind about God more times than most people change their underpants. She only started this holy-rolly bullshit about 5 years ago. She does online bible studies with some end-times prophet, is into this Jesus-was-really-an-alien nonsense.

10 years ago, she was more Buddhist. 15 years ago, she was "we are all god, and God is us." 20 years ago she was agnostic, and who knows what before then.

She believes proselytizing is part of her DNA. I spent years begging her to just leave me alone. Then I researched her religion. Now she can't get off the phone fast enough.

I asked a Christian once how was she so sure Fundies weren't real Christians? And how did she know those christians don't consider her a real christian?

She got mad and told me I have to figure those things out on my own.

6. I used to share my stuff on FB rather liberally

After a few arguments here and there I started becoming very selective with who I post with.

However, every now and then, I will post something I think is harmless to everyone and see a flame war start. >.<

Ill try to diffuse these wars even handily if possible, but sometimes I have to change the view settings so that they can no longer see or respond to the post.
