Been watching Matt Dillahunty on YouTube...

And I'm enjoying the tar out of it. His show " The Atheist Experience" and many of the debates that he has been part of. I never heard anything like it. But I never allowed myself to listen before. I was brought up to argue, not listen to any other point but God was real.
I'm going to have to find out if he has written any books. And speaking of books, anyone have any suggestions for books to read?

1. I am a huge fan of the Dillahunty and the Atheist Community of Austin

I work out to old Atheist Experience videos that are online at youtube. I am working backward from today - I am just starting 2011.

While Dillahunty is great, my favorite current host is Tracy Harris. She is so very practical. Two of the older hosts that I really enjoyed were Jeff Dee and Martin Wagner.

I have always had a love for history. One question that has always bugged me is just how did religion evolve. There wasn't exactly anyone chronicling religion's rise and evolution, especially since it was evolving in different ways in different places.

Tracy Harris did write a very good, very short article on religious evolution from research she did on her own the old fashioned way at the library before the internet. I will add it to the end if I can find it.

You may want to go to the Atheist Community of Austin website and poke around. One of the best sections is the FAQ section https://atheist-community.org/resources/atheism-faq where they answer the usual questions religions hit us with.

Oops - just found their blog https://freethoughtblogs.com/axp/ - it is part of the forethought blogs. May want to poke around there

I know that Matt in particular often recommend Dave Dennet books - I don't remember the titles. Google should help.
The only atheist book I have read is Christopher Hitchens "God Is Not Great."

I have been watching for quite a few years.

They have some very old episodes on YouTube.

It really shows the direction and growth of the show.

Several other Atheist shows are available on YouTube as well.

Matt is sometimes the guest on those shows.

The Atheist Experience is live streamed every Sunday.

Matt debates and gives lectures all over the world.

8. The live stream of Atheist Experience is on youtube at 4:30PM central time

every Sunday.
Just type Atheist Experience into the search box about that time on Sunday and that should be the first choice. There will be a little red box in the lower left corner that says 'set reminder' if it is before 4:30PM. If it is after 4:30PM that same box will say 'live now.'

Click on the box and away you go.

If you enjoy history, may I suggest Richard Carrier? Most of his videos are lectures, but quite interesting. here is one I enjoyed:

about the gospels being myths.

One of Carrier's main focuses is whether Jesus ever lived.
