The weather has been rather strange this year. Right now my area is having an air stagnation warning, no wind, too calm. It's kinda creepy, really, I'd prefer some of our fall and winter gales to this.
Give me a howling windstorm just to make things more interesting. At least there have been sunbreaks. There's a burn ban in effect and people with respiratory issues are advised to take measures.
Of course I can't really complain, we didn't have a rough summer, nor a bad winter or spring.

Just hoping for less forest fires than usual under that scenario!
I think there will be less luck collecting fungi and wild ferns for food as the climate changes. I have been seeing the effects of warmer and drier seasons for some time, and the stress it put on the evergreens leading to diseases.
It's been chilly here all week, dropping into the twenties at night on the hillsides.
Well, it could always be worse, at least we escaped the drought sand heat waves. We lucked out overall in the region this year.
Expecting snow all the way down in the lowlands here at Puget Sound, possibly heavy with avalanches in the passes.
Perhaps you'll get something out of it, it's coming from Alaska and may eventually move in your direction if it makes it past the Cascades and Rockies.
