Accuweather now has the best Antarctica weather, -87F at Concordia

http://www.accuweather.com/en/aq/concordia-station/2273692/weather-forecast/2273692

If you go to wunderground.com, a lot is missing for some reason. For Antarctica weather geeks like me, this is not acceptable :p

1. I used to work at AccuWeather

.... when I lived in Pennsylvania for about a year.

4. I had a few thoughts...

Having come from the SF Bay Area around 1998-9, I was shocked to find that the pay was as low as it was. I think it was around or under $10.00/hour. Mind you, I'm in IT and was used to making a bit more money than that. Keep in mind that this was for doing work like setting up their new (very expensive) computer/graphics/overlay systems at television stations.

The other thing that kind of blew me away is that they had 80 meteorologist, and I think around 800 employees. There was only one black person, one Indian person, and the rest were all very white.

Again, coming from the Bay Area, this was kind of a shock to me.

The big joke around the place was that several years back, there had been a severe Noreastern storm that they failed to forecast its path properly, and it actually hit dead on in State College, PA (where Accuweather is located)

2. Detailed weather data from Dome A, Antarctica

http://www.antarctica.gov.au/about-antarctica/environment/weather/automatic-weather-stations/dome-a-details

The graph is a bit hard to read, but seems to be the best place for that particular reading.

eta: ok this is easier to read http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/Antarctica/DomeA.htm
