Latest Maryland poll: HRC - 40 BS - 27 MOM - 5

Gonzales Research, you can see it here:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/

Last poll done in MD was in October by the Washington Post, which had Clinton at +17, so this is in line with that one (I.e no cataclysmic shift in support in the past 3 months).

3. No. We had 12 years. That's enough. He's ok but Hillary is who we need.

The voters picked a Repug to replace him. Not good.

...should know that republicans have won governor races here before.

Moreover, you can't blame the last election on O'Malley without buying into the republican litany of bullshit. O'Malley left office with a 58% approval rating.

Fact is, republicans came out around the country in a nationalized response to Obama. Off-season elections bring out the negative vote, more than satisfied voters are compelled to the polls.

Besides, voters rejected Anthony Brown who ran a largely invisible and lackluster campaign, not O'Malley, who won 4 elections in a row.

And yes of course I live in beautiful Arnold Maryland. O'Malley will run again. He should have run for senator.

...a rare Democrat from Md. ragging on O'Malley.

Interesting comment that '12 years is enough.' while complaining about a republican in office.

Self-serving, misleading 'facts' from you.

Millions complain about the rain tax. And I work for a university who are all democratic voters like I am. So walk out your door. If you think he's so popular then I guess 5 percent is your definition.

...to imagine that Marylanders are ungrateful for the progressive accomplishments O'Malley fought for and achieved is as out-of-touch with Maryland values as your flogging of the 'rain' tax - a favorite target of conservatives here who deny climate change.

Mine voted for him twice. We are not the problem. You can brag all day long and call names but that does not change reality.

...the reality is that most Democrats approve of the job O'Malley did. It showed in poll after poll. The fact that most Marylanders support someone else for president is a reflection of their affinity for the other candidates in that position, not a reflection of how Marylanders feel about O'Malley in general.

You opened yourself up to ridicule parroting that conservative lie about a 'rain tax.' I can't think of anything more defining of Maryland republicans than them flogging that dead horse.

16. The term 'rain tax' comes from republicans.

No Democrat that I know would ever use that term, because it's not even true. Probably came from the bowels of a RW think tank.

Democrats stayed home.

But Anthony Brown did run a largely invisible and lackluster campaign, as you say; I think he just assumed he would take it.

14. The most interesting thing about that poll is she leads among African Americans 61-6

The most interesting thing about that poll is she leads among African Americans 61-6. In the most recent nat'l polls her lead among that demographic is somewhere around 71-14.

A 40-27 lead seems unremarkable but HRC lost MD in 08 60-36 because she lost the African American vote on the order of 8 or 9-1.

Significant indication that HRC is vulnerable in a state where she should have a massive lead.

Bad sign for Mo'M that he's only getting 5% in his home state.
