Fearing that her popularity among young voters has fallen to a critically low point, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has adopted a so-called gothic look to appeal to millennials whom her advisors describe as suffering from angst and alienation.
We were hemorrhaging support to that [expletive] hippie Bernie Sanders, so we put drab ol Hillary in front of a mirror and asked ourselves some really tough questions, like if her style really speaks to todays disaffected youth, said David Gibbons, a longtime Clinton strategist who, as a high school student in the early 1990s, wore only black and went by the name Raven.
Clinton showcased her new look at an event in Iowa on Wednesday, speaking at a 4-H club while dressed in an Edwardian corset, a lacy black dress, knee-high studded boots and a variety of occult jewelry.
Look around, my fellow Americans, and youll see that everything is in a state of decay, Clinton said. The only certainty in life is death, and it is death we must espouse if we are to live fully.

(2,546 posts)I actually had a good laugh... with this on top of news that her campaign is in the toilet in Iowa... Good news can really do wonders to spruce up one's day can't it....

(4,246 posts)Accomplished women everywhere. Yeah make fun of someone's look or appeal.
Self delete you're embarrassing yourself.
Next someone will put up pix of BS on walker. Is that what we've been reduced to? Flinging poo?
and if Sanders wins and women say home in mass he will have no one to blame but his very own supporters.

(4,246 posts)As a female I don't like women in power reduced to how they look or diminished in any way except on the merits of the criticism.
I don't comment on men's ties or hair either.
Make the case for pandering and I get educated. Fair game.

(16,916 posts)They aren't making fun of her looks! Wait...has Hillary started to dress this way? If she has, she deserves to get teased for her looks. Or, if the picture made fun of Hillary's true "look" (pant suit and sweeping hairdo) then you might have a point!
But none of the above applies. It's not that you don't have a point, it's just that you've missed the point.
It's satire!

(30,247 posts)Considering that Sanders is older than Hillary, I would be careful of whose appearance I make fun of lest someone retaliates by posting equivalent cartoonish portrayals of your elderly candidate.

(1,325 posts)I understand the outrage, sexism, sarcasm and everything else. Showed it to my 26 year old son and his 25 year old girlfriend and they both thought it was outstanding. Bottom line, in spite of the comedy and outrage, she looks great here folks. She should show up at the next rally exactly like this, and Bernie should don a full-on Johnny Rotten punk get up. The media would flip, the younger generation would totally be on board, too many of my old fart friends would be outraged, and the repukes wouldn't have a clue. And Faux Noise might spontaneously combust!!! In the spirit of David Bowie, the democrats should step out for a day or two and take a walk on the wild side. Bernie as Ziggy Stardust would probably seal the deal for his nomination!
